Grants to this Grantee
for a project reworking the UC system's budget
A grant to the University of California Office of the President will support the work of the UC Commission on the Future. The goal of the Commission is to develop a new vision for the University that affirms its core values of excellence and access while addressing financial challenges from declining state funding, currently a two-year $831 million budget cut. A final report of the Commission will be submitted to the Board of regents in March 2010. The Hewlett Foundation is joined in support of this work by the Packard, Irvine, and Haas Jr. Foundations.
