Overview
This grant will support the WORLD Policy Analysis Center to improve the quantity and quality of comparative policy data on laws and policies affecting women’s economic empowerment, equality, and population health, establishing a baseline for the sustainable development goal related to gender equality. The data, analyses of policies and outcomes, and rich infographics will be featured on WORLD’s user-friendly Web platform to engage and inform its users—government leaders, citizens, civil society, and researchers around the world.

This grant will support the WORLD Policy Analysis Center to disseminate and promote the use of information about laws and policies affecting women’s economic empowerment, equality, and population health. The center will also compile information about laws and policies that influence the economic opportunities for the nearly 100 million international women migrants.
for a project to foster policy-relevant research on extractive industries in low-income countries  
The Project on Resources, Development, and Governance seeks to bring together a diverse community of researchers and practitioners to collaborate on research and advocacy to promote transparent, accountable, and responsible management of natural resources in low- and middle-income countries. This grant will support the initial setup of the project. During this grant period, the project team will convene meetings in Africa, Latin America, and the United States to introduce the project and foster collaborations between researchers and policy practitioners in the natural resource sector. The team will also train and provide tailored, ongoing mentorship to scholars and practitioners to undertake joint policy-relevant research to improve natural resource governance.
