Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Center for the Transformation of Schools
UCLA’s Center for the Transformation of Schools, a research center serving schools, districts, and county offices of education across the country, works to ensure that all children receive the education they deserve. The support provided will allow the center to undertake various research and policy projects related to urban school transformation. The center expects to help educators and school system leaders enact strategies that motivate and engage student learning, address students’ social and emotional needs, and draw on the resources of the surrounding community.
for a database and analysis of policies affecting women's economic empowerment
This grant will support the WORLD Policy Analysis Center to disseminate and promote the use of information about laws and policies affecting women’s economic empowerment, equality, and population health. The center will also compile information about laws and policies that influence correlates of women’s economic empowerment, including early marriage, education, and early childhood education.
for the Project on Resources and Governance
The Project on Resources and Governance (PRG) brings together researchers and practitioners to promote transparent, accountable, and responsible management of natural resources in low- and middle-income countries. During this grant period, PRG will commission at least three new research projects, mentor researchers and practitioners in innovative social science research, and share research results with individuals and groups that influence extractive industries, affected communities, and governments in countries that are dependent on the exploitation of natural resources.
