United Nations Foundation

For Travel Support For The Global Partnership For Sustainable Development Data

Overview
The United Nations Foundation serves as the institutional host of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data. The partnership brings together government, private-sector, civil society, and international institutions to harness new and traditional sources of data to better understand and address development challenges. During this grant period, the partnership will advance its three goals to (a) drive political change, elevating the importance of data production, access, and use for decision making; (b) address data challenges at the country level through multisectoral collaboration; and (c) foster trust across its diverse constituencies to help overcome barriers to data access and use. This grant is to support travel costs of partnership members from the Global South and civil society organizations to attend global and regional events of importance to the partnership.

for the U.S. Climate Alliance
The U.S. Climate Alliance is a bipartisan coalition of governors representing 24 states, with more than 60% of U.S. GDP, 55% of the U.S. population, and 40% of U.S. emissions. These governors are committed to driving the nation’s ambitious climate agenda by working in partnership with each other, the federal government, and the international community. The alliance has an important role to play in implementation of federal climate investment laws by supporting state engagement with federal agencies, supporting the development of state decarbonization plans, and supporting effective deployment of federal dollars to drive decarbonization and community economic development.
