Overview
To support University of California, San Diego, to set up a Power Transformation Lab, which will help in facilitating model-based international collaboration for accelerated energy decarbonization. The new initiative will partner US researchers with Chinese stakeholders to generate policy recommendation and technical guidance through innovative model-based collaborations. The lab will emphasize the creation of open and broadly accessible data, models and insights, to target academia, civil society organizations and industry stakeholders. for support of the Cyber Escalation Lab and emerging scholars  
The Center for Peace and Security Studies (cPASS) at the University of California at San Diego conducts rigorous, data-driven research on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy, with a focus on new and emerging areas, including cyber conflict. With this grant, cPASS will create a Cyber Escalation Lab to empirically study cyber conflict and develop a diverse cohort of junior scholars to help expand the burgeoning field. This grant supports our Talent Pipeline strategy.
