The Institute of Transportation Studies’ Policy Institute for Energy, Environment, and the Economy conducts research to inform decisions and policies on sustainable transportation, environmental justice, and climate neutrality. This grant will enhance the institute’s impact on advancing sustainable transportation at the state, federal, and international levels.

The conference will be an opportunity for transatlantic dialogue and sharing lessons learned on topics including Europe’s engagement with China, India, and other countries and regions. This grant supports their work on zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) policy design and implementation, and to ensure safe, sustainable supply chains and critical minerals for energy transitions; unlock access to financing in developing country markets for vehicle electrification; advance sustainable fuels for transportation; and provide global modeling capability.
