Overview
This grant support the University of California, Davis to facilitate collaboration between California and India to promote zero-emission vehicles. California’s ZEV program has plenty of lessons to offer to India, and the UC Davis team is ideally placed to do both policy relevant research and to facilitate California-India dialogue on zero emission vehicle requirement policy.

This grant will enhance the institute’s impact on advancing sustainable transportation at the state, federal, and international levels.
for ETERC Conference  
The University of California, Davis, is a research university founded in 1905. This is a sponsorship grant for the annual Institute of Transportation Studies’ European Transport and Energy Research Centre (ETERC) Conference in 2025-2027. The conference will be an opportunity for transatlantic dialogue and sharing lessons learned on topics including Europe’s engagement with China, India, and other countries and regions.
for the India ZEV Research Centre and Global South Center for Clean Transportation  
The University of California, Davis, is a research university founded in 1905. Its Institute of Transportation Studies has established a Global South Center for Clean Transportation, alongside its India ZEV Research Centre, with an aim to support clean transportation transitions in India and other developing economies. This grant supports their work on zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) policy design and implementation, and to ensure safe, sustainable supply chains and critical minerals for energy transitions; unlock access to financing in developing country markets for vehicle electrification; advance sustainable fuels for transportation; and provide global modeling capability.
