Grants to this Grantee
for the Electric Vehicle Research Center
This grant supports the work of the Electric Vehicle Research Center at the University of California, Davis. The center collaborates closely with California utilities, automakers, regulators, and other research institutions, such as the Electric Power Research Institute and Argonne National Lab, on research aimed at developing a sustainable market for plug-in vehicles. Its research evaluates the impacts of policies and incentives on consumer purchases, the impacts of consumer driving and charging behavior on the electrical grid, and the role that international collaborations can have on a sustainable and equitable market for EVs in the future. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
for the Policy Institute’s work on electrified transportation
Housed at the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies, the Policy Institute for Energy, Environment, and the Economy conducts research to inform decisions and policies on sustainable transportation, environmental justice, and climate neutrality. Over the duration of this program grant, the Policy Institute will conduct new studies to support regulations of zero-emission commercial trucking fleets, and provide technical expertise in support of low-carbon fuels programs in the U.S. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
for California-India Zero Emission Vehicle Policy Collaboration
This grant support the University of California, Davis to facilitate collaboration between California and India to promote zero-emission vehicles. Californias ZEV program has plenty of lessons to offer to India, and the UC Davis team is ideally placed to do both policy relevant research and to facilitate California-India dialogue on zero emission vehicle requirement policy. (Substrategy: Electrification)
