Overview
Created in 2010, the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society at U.C. Berkeley brings together researchers, community advocates, artists, and other stakeholders to identify and eliminate barriers to an inclusive, just and sustainable society. Organized into seven research clusters, the Institute involves almost 100 researchers across U.C. Berkeley. The Institute produces a range of arts and culture activities including an artist-in-residence program, trainings, workshops, convenings, and public performances in collaboration with on-campus and local partners.

This Institute informs national policy makers, foster dialogue and cooperation, and promotes the implementation of climate solutions at all levels. This grant aims to support CCCI to engage in trainings for organizational growth, strengthen its governance and provide staff with development opportunities. There is also an allocation in this grant for wellness in furtherance of the organization’s charitable purpose.
