Overview
The University of California at Berkeley Labor Center would help ensure successful implementation of energy efficiency and distributed generation (local and community-based) solar policies in California in order to reduce demand for energy, which in turn will reduce global warming emissions. The Labor Center is a key liaison connecting labor unions, environmental groups, and policymakers and would devote special attention to bridging gaps between those three constituencies in Los Angeles, where union support is essential for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs to advance.
