Grants to this Grantee
for the Lawyering Project's Partnership for Abortion Care
This project, the Partnership for Abortion Care, seeks to leverage the Whole Woman’s Health Supreme Court decision to remove unconstitutional obstacles to abortion on a state-by-state basis, while helping destigmatize abortion in our culture. In each state the partnership works in, the centerpiece will be litigation, complemented by strategic communications and advocacy. The project is a partnership of the Lawyering Project, Whole Woman’s Health Alliance, and Jane’s Due Process.
for support of women's global movement
The Women’s March in Washington on January 21, 2017, started a global women’s movement for increasing women’s voices and participation in policy processes and holding governments accountable for protecting women’s rights. This project will activate and organize women’s rights advocates around the world and support the first global convening of Women’s March Global chapters. Women’s March Global will mobilize advocates to be active in key global policy events using online platforms, grassroots local Women’s March chapters, and connections with international and local nongovernmental organizations.
for the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum project
This grant will support the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum project to build a stronger reproductive justice movement within the Asian and Pacific Islander community in the United States, increase the visibility of this community and its unique needs, and broaden the overall base of support for reproductive rights. The Forum’s work includes community organizing and mobilization, policy advocacy, leadership development, and media and communications.
