for Tibetan music and dance education programs and performances
The Bay Area Tibetan community of nearly 2,000 people is the fourth-largest in North America. The Tibetan Association of Northern California preserves Tibetan culture and artistic traditions through education programs and performances. The Tibetan Association's school serves more than 100 students under the age of eighteen, teaching them the Tibetan language and providing instruction in traditional dances and musical instruments. During the next grant period, the organization plans to create a sustainable business model, acquire a new space, and develop a more sustainable organizational structure to support its activities.
