Overview
Theatre Bay Area is the region’s service organization for nonprofit theaters and theater artists. It builds awareness, appreciation, and support for theater through programs that include audience engagement and ticketing services; collaborative marketing and research programs; professional development opportunities for staff, board members, and artists; and an annual conference. Theatre Bay Area has more than 300 dues-paying member organizations and 2,500 individual members. Renewed support would help Theatre Bay Area maintain its vital services for the theater community.

Theatre Bay Area is a membership organization that builds awareness, appreciation, and support for theater in the Bay Area. Its programs include marketing, research, professional development opportunities, auditions, and grant programs that serve theaters and artists. Its annual conference draws more than 300 participants. The CA$H Theatre grant program provides grants to artists and small theater companies that support artistic projects, capacity-building activities, and public performances. Support for Theatre Bay Area’s CA$H Theatre grant program aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Artists strategy.
