Overview
Founded in 2008, Women Fund Tanzania Trust (WFT-T) is the first feminist and only women’s fund in Tanzania and the second in sub-Saharan Africa. Its core mission is to empower women to unlock their potential and actively participate in the transformation of their communities toward greater social justice and empowerment. As the only feminist funding mechanism in the country, WFT-T focuses on strategic grantmaking and fostering strong, supportive partnerships at both the local and national levels through supporting coalitions, movements, and cross-movements building.
