Grants to this Grantee
for supporting subnational delegation at COP29
The Climate Registry provides services and tools to help governments, companies, and institutions reduce their emissions. This grant will provide support for TCR to sponsor a delegation of U.S. state government representatives to the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November 2024. Delegates will be able to engage with other government and nongovernment experts and representatives, and build a broad understanding of the actions that local and subnational governments around the world are taking to address climate change in their jurisdictions, as well as share progress they are making in the U.S. on emissions reductions. (Substrategy: Multilateral)
for supporting subnational delegation at COP28
The Climate Registry, in partnership with Climate Action Reserve and Georgetown Climate Center, will support a subnational U.S. delegation traveling to Dubai, UAE, to attend COP28, in November/December 2023. The annual conference is the largest forum for governments, businesses, and nonprofits to convene around the issue of climate change. The delegation will showcase clean energy and climate action, as well as momentum at the state level. (Substrategy: Multilateral)
