Overview
This grant is to the Sustainable Markets Foundation which hosts Regions Refocus. Regions Refocus builds cross-regional, cross-movement solidarity in the struggle for progressive and feminist economic policy, sparking alliances and strengthening analysis to challenge the dominant, neoliberal development framework. Regions Refocus work includes collaborating on policy workshops, organizing collective research projects, and growing advocacy coalitions. This organizational effectiveness grant will support Regions Refocus to carry out an assessment of available institutional arrangement models to determine what is the best model for it going forward. It will also enhance program management systems through tailored capacity coaching, including evaluating existing systems, assessing operational needs, and charting a coaching plan to focus on priority areas. (Strategy: International Women’s Economic Empowerment).

Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Millennial Action Project
This one-year supplemental matching grant would provide flexible support to the Millennial Action Project, a fiscally sponsored project of the Sustainable Markets Fund, in its efforts to overcome partisan gridlock through the recruitment, engagement, and mobilization of the next generation of political leaders, including the larger number of members of Congress who are under 40 in the 114th Congress. This grant would support the Project as it expands its programmatic efforts, especially to the growing Bipartisan Congressional Future Caucus.
for support of the Millennial Action Project
This three-year project grant would provide flexible support to the Millennial Action Project (MAP), a fiscally sponsored project, in its efforts to overcome partisan gridlock through the recruitment, engagement, and mobilization of the next generation of political leaders. This grant would support MAP as it carries out its current programmatic efforts, including the Bipartisan Congressional Future Caucus, the James Madison Fellowship, and the Millennial Policy Program. It would also buttress MAP’s capacity to respond to new charitable opportunities as they arise.
for the climate communications project
Sustainable Markets Foundation is the fiscal sponsor for the Eco-Accountability project, which conducts research and launches communications to weaken the most prominent fossil fuel–related opponents of climate action and clean energy solutions. The Eco-Accountability team works with a network of bloggers and reporters to disseminate its research findings and promote widespread coverage that exposes the fossil fuel industries’ efforts to thwart progress on climate and clean energy policy.
