Overview
The Institute for Sustainable Societies at Stanford University will concentrate on the complex societal challenges of sustainability and our changing climate, operating in parallel with the Precourt Institute for Energy and the Woods Institute for the Environment within Stanford’s new school focused on climate and sustainability. The Institute will add critical new attention to the issues of social justice, institutional and economic infrastructure, and the politics of transitioning to more sustainable ways of life.

The Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab (RegLab) at Stanford University partners with government agencies to design and evaluate programs, policies, and technologies that modernize government and restore trust in governance. RegLab is an interdisciplinary team of legal experts, data scientists, social scientists, and engineers who are passionate about building an evidence base and high-impact demonstration projects for better government.
