The Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute examines whether midlife education can be transformative for individuals, institutions, and communities. Funding from the Hewlett Foundation will allow the Distinguished Careers Institute to host a national dialogue to inform and engage university and college leaders in a conversation about the future of higher education, focusing on the prospect for developing programs for individuals in midlife.
