Overview
FROM PREVIOUS GRANT: Stanford’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS) is a research center for students, scholars and practitioners to generate knowledge and share ideas that contribute to social change. Its primary participants are Stanford faculty, visiting and postdoctoral scholars, graduate and undergraduate students, and nonprofit and foundation leaders. PACS provides research fellowships for students; funding for faculty research; and an array of courses and gatherings for different audiences. PACS is home to the Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR), the social sector’s preeminent magazine and online journal. In a recent Bridgespan survey of nonprofit and foundation leaders, SSIR ranked as the most influential publication.
