Overview
This grant will enable leading scholars affiliated with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University to undertake new research on party identification, independent voters, and the evolving roles they are both playing in the increasingly dynamic American electorate. The research will draw upon a rich body of survey and panel data that has yet to be analyzed and will illuminate what future elections may hold in store.
