SOMArts is one of the City of San Francisco’s official cultural centers. Located in a vast South of Market warehouse, SOMArts makes gallery, performance, and teaching spaces available for community events, and offers below-market rate rental space to more than 100 nonprofit organizations each year. SOMArts prioritizes supporting artists who have been historically marginalized in contemporary art, providing emerging artists and curators with opportunities to present work multi-disciplinary events and exhibitions that reflect their communities.
