The goal of this grant to the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition is to put in place a comprehensive outreach program for bike share in San Mateo that will target employees, residents and transit riders through workshops, city festivals, social media, membership discounts and marketing materials. Bike sharing is one of the new sustainable mobility options, growing in many cities, to reduce vehicle use and to complement transit. The new program in San Mateo can be an example for other cities.
