Overview
San Jose Multicultural Artists Guild’s mission is to serve communities by producing and presenting cross-cultural arts programming that reflects the experiences of African Americans, women, and Chicanos/Latinos. The Guild reaches highly diverse audiences of more than 35,000 people through three programs: a theater program that presents a major production at the Mexican Heritage Plaza; a community arts program that offers performances and workshops at community venues throughout Silicon Valley, including the annual Dia de los Muertos Festival in San Jose; and an arts education program that provides in-school, after-school, and summer programs. Support of the Guild aligns with the Program’s Communities strategy. This grant is to support succession planning.
