The San Jose Multicultural Artists Guild produces and presents cross-cultural arts programming that reflects the experiences of African Americans, women, and Chicanos/Latinos. Each year, the organization reaches diverse audiences of more than 35,000 people, including a theater production at the Mexican Heritage Plaza; performances and workshops at community venues throughout Silicon Valley; an annual Day of the Dead Festival in San Jose; and an arts education program. This grant aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.

San Jose Multicultural Artists Guild’s mission is to serve communities by producing and presenting cross-cultural arts programming that reflects the experiences of African Americans, women, and Chicanos/Latinos. Each year, the guild reaches diverse audiences of more than 35,000 people. Its work includes a theater program that presents major productions at the Mexican Heritage Plaza; a community arts program that offers performances and workshops at community venues throughout Silicon Valley, including the annual Day of the Dead Festival in San Jose; and an arts education program that provides in-school, after-school, and summer programs. This grant aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.
