Overview
The Fund for Shared Insight is a funder collaborative focused on increasing foundation openness in service of greater effectiveness. This includes foundations sharing more openly about their work, as well as being more open to what others have to share with us, especially feedback from the people we ultimately seek to help with our funding. Shared Insight has eight core funders who collectively contribute $6.5 million each year to a pooled fund at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. The fund has made 53 grants to 48 organizations, totaling $9.9 million, and is committed to rigorous measurement and sharing what it learns. Effective Philanthropy Group director, Fay Twersky, serves as a co-chair. The fund has grown to include another 25 co-funders at different levels.

for Fund for Shared Insight
Fund for Shared Insight, a fiscally sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, is a national funder collaborative seeking to improve philanthropy by centering the people and communities at the heart of its work. Shared Insight believes those impacted by funder decisions, but often least consulted, can offer unique and valuable insight into how to bring about lasting, meaningful change that improves lives in ways people deï¬ne for themselves. The collaborative is committed to the kind of listening, partnering, and learning that values lived expertise, shifts power, and leads to more equitable outcomes. This grant provides flexible program support for Fund for Shared Insight.
