Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Governance project to address legislative branch rules and processes
The R Street Institute is an innovative, pragmatic think tank based in Washington. While R Street aims to limit the size and scope of governmental activity, it also thinks it important that government accomplish its core functions in an efficient, effective manner. Since Congress is a key governing institution, its dysfunction is a key issue of concern. This grant funds R Street’s Governance Project, which began in 2014 and explores the mechanisms and processes that Congress uses to carry out its oversight, regulatory, budget, and appropriations functions, as well as its role vis-à-vis the public and the other branches in the U.S. constitutional system.
for support of a free-market research project for birth control access
R Street Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that engages in policy research and outreach to promote free markets and limited, effective government. This grant will support R Street to increase access to contraception and reproductive freedom through outreach, coalition building, media, and research that advances a case for contraceptive access based on individual autonomy, gender equality, and economic freedom.
for support of a project on national security and technology
A grant to R Street will support the hiring of a national security manager to work on cybersecurity issues at the intersection of national security, civil liberties, and technology policy.
