In recognition of the Hewlett Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions initiative supports the creation and premiere of 50 exceptional works of performing arts. This grant will support "We, the 100 Million" (working title), a spoken word performance that will explore poverty and inequity in the United States. PolicyLink will present the world premiere of "We, the 100 Million" in the San Francisco Bay Area no later than December 2021.

PolicyLink will serve as the fiscal sponsor for Liberation Ventures, a field builder focused on racial repair. This grant will facilitate Liberation Ventures' efforts to support the ecosystem of organizations working to build public will for a comprehensive federal reparations program.

Liberation in a Generation (LibGen) is a national movement support project building the power of people of color to transform the economy — who controls it, how it works, and most importantly, for whom. They bring together advocates, community organizers, economists, and other leaders of color across the country to build a “liberation economy,” within one generation.
