Overview
PEAK Grantmaking is a member-led community of professionals who specialize in grants management for funding organizations. Through targeted programming and research, the organization powers knowledge and fosters collaboration to strengthen practice in philanthropy. Their largest convening is an annual conference that was planned for March 2020 in Seattle with about 1,000 registrants. It was cancelled the week before it was supposed to take place due to COVID-19 community transmission in the area. This unrestricted support will help with the unplanned expenses and capacity required to manage this significant change.

Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
The Grants Managers Network (GMN) is the affinity group for the Grants Management profession with over 2,400 members from 1,200 organizations across the sector. By increasing the knowledge of grants managers and the efficiency and effectiveness of funders, GMN helps grantmakers deliver more resources directly to mission-driven activities, leading to better outcomes for grantmakers and grantseekers alike. Hewlett support would allow GMN to implement the goals outlined in their most recent strategic plan such as to create and curate more learning content and to expand technological and operational capacity.
for Project Streamline
The Grants Managers Network is an affinity group of professional foundation staff working in grants administration. Its "Project Streamline" project, which we supported in 2009, has made great strides in reducing the opaque, often redundant barriers grantseekers face in the foundation sector’s application process. In the project’s final phase, Grants Managers Network will expand the resources, tools, and best practices available to funders and grantseekers and commission an assessment of the project’s impact thus far.
