for hosting the Africa Evidence Network
This grant will support the secretariat of the Africa Evidence Network, which works to increase the use of evidence in decision making. The network brings together evidence producers, users, and intermediaries to share information, collaborate, and build African interest in and capacity for evidence-informed decision making. It also advocates for African voices and participation in the evidence-informed decision-making movement. During this grant period, the Africa Evidence Network will increase member participation in governance of the network. (Strategy: Evidence-Informed Policymaking)
for the development and piloting of a responsive evidence system for African policy needs
The Pan-African Collective for Evidence (PACE) is a nonprofit organization that specializes in promoting evidence-informed policymaking across Africa. PACE works to support evidence capacities, evidence communities, and evidence synthesis for decision makers across Africa. This grant aims to support a responsive and connected evidence ecosystem for African policy needs. PACE will engage, coordinate, and enable the dedicated work of individuals and organizations across Africa to provide locally tailored and increasingly institutionalized responsive evidence services to decision makers. The team will also build the capacity of evidence-informed policy practitioners by facilitating collaborations and knowledge sharing across national and regional contexts in Africa.
