Oxfam America

For The Development And Implementation Of An Advocacy Strategy On Unpaid Care And Domestic Work

Strategies
Overview
Oxfam is a global organization working to create solutions to the social injustice of poverty and inequality. This grant to Oxfam America will support Oxfam’s implementation of the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Care (WE-Care) program globally, regionally — and in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda. The WE-Care program is an initiative meant to transform how unpaid care and domestic work (UCDW) is valued, shared, and invested in. Oxfam will accompany civil society-led advocacy and facilitate participation in influencing spaces; raise awareness of UCDW with media and government officials; develop formative research to inform campaigns; advocate for greater investments in infrastructure and public services; and engage the private sector to change harmful gender stereotypes and norms.
