Overview
Founded in 1983, the Center for Responsive Politics is the nation’s primary research group tracking money in U.S. politics at the federal level and its effect on elections and public policy. Through its website, OpenSecrets.org, the Center provides data on federal campaign contributions and lobbying, coupled with related analysis. These data inform researchers, media, and the public at large, enabling the work of voters and activists pursuing a more transparent and responsive U.S. government. A general operating support grant to the Center would enable its ongoing provision of high-quality federal data on money in politics.
