for general operating support
Oil Change International is a research, communications, and advocacy organization working domestically and internationally to increase transparency and accountability of the oil and related finance industries. One of their priorities for this period is to pursue reform of fossil fuel subsidies.
for industry research and support of the Moving Beyond Oil Coalition
Part of the Beyond Oil Coalition, Oil Change International works to provide information about the true costs of oil and facilitate the coming transition toward clean energy. With this proposed grant, Oil Change International will produce analysis and materials that will support campaigns to reduce the environmental impact of oil from production to consumption. Two examples include research and reports on (1) the costs the oil industry is not paying due to loopholes in existing environmental laws such as the Safe Water Drinking Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and (2) the trajectory of U.S. refinery emissions to support the implementation of a strong EPA greenhouse gas refinery rule.
