Oakland Youth Chorus

Oakland Youth Chorus builds respect and friendship through music, creating connections across barriers, and empowering young voices calling for social change. Through its choral ensembles and in- and out-of-school programming in the East Bay, Oakland Youth Chorus provides almost 2,000 youth between the ages of five and 19 with multicultural music and choral instruction and performance opportunities each year. This Organizational Effectiveness grant to Oakland Youth Symphony advances the Program’s Youth strategy and Program Delivery sub-strategy by supporting one organization’s efforts to sustain its mission by exploring strategic restructuring.
