The emissions from transportation in the United States are growing and have become the primary source of carbon emissions in the country. The Natural Resource Defense Council is a leading organization in the environmental field and has programs to address the new technologies and changes in behavior needed to put the country on the necessary trajectory to reach deep 2050 climate goals. With the support of this grant, the Shared Use Mobility and Electrification programs are testing and implementing innovative policies to reduce vehicle use and increase the use of clean energy to power remaining vehicles nationwide.
