Overview
With the economic recovery has come rapidly inflating real estate prices. This situation is displacing many non-profit organizations that do not have a long term lease or facility ownership, as rents are escalating throughout the Bay Area. In 2014, San Francisco established a "Nonprofit Displacement Task Force which is comprised or funders, government agencies, and service providers. This has expanded to become a Bay Area effort, and a collection of funders would like to commission research to understand the scope and scale of displacement. This research will cover six counties (Alameda, Contra Cost, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara to assess the current state of displacement, identify community trends, and offer solutions to mitigate displacement
