Northern California Grantmakers

Northern California Grantmakers began informally in 1965 to provide a network for foundations in the region to exchange ideas, coordinate and collaborate, and increase their knowledge of problems and solutions. Officially incorporated in 1981, the organization has grown to support over 150 grantmaking organizations and individuals who have a combined grantmaking total of more than $3 billion annually. The organization currently focuses on providing opportunities for grantmaker professional development and networking and supporting collaborative philanthropy in Northern California. The organization has a new Executive Director and is embarking on a strategic planning process.
