The North American Council for Freight Efficiency works to drive the development and adoption of efficiency-enhancing, environmentally beneficial, and cost-effective technologies, services, and methodologies in the North American freight industry. With this project grant, the Council will advance the electrification of regional haul trucking in the U.S. through convening key industry, government, and nonprofit groups.

The North American Council for Freight Efficiency works to drive the development and adoption of efficiency-enhancing, environmentally beneficial, and cost-effective technologies, services, and methodologies in the North American freight industry. With a focus on regional applications and real-world deployments in the next few years, NACFE will use its network of key industry stakeholders to improve confidence in electric vehicle technology and accelerate the adoption of commercial battery electric vehicles (CBEVs), so that 40% of heavy-duty day cab tractors produced in the U.S. will be electric by 2030.
