Grants to this Grantee
for Artist as First Responder
Artist as First Responder, a fiscally sponsored project of Next River, is a service provider to artists whose creative practices heal communities and save lives. It provides grants and residencies to artists; curates public performances and exhibitions; and shares artworks and creative practices through print, publishing, and workshops. Working in several parts of the Bay Area, Artist as First Responder facilitates artistic responses to the needs of local communities through these multiple forms of support. This grant, in alignment with the Performing Arts Program’s Artists strategy, will support the continued work of Artist as First Responder to benefit Bay Area artists.
