Overview
The Criminal Justice Innovation Lab is a program within the NYU School of Law’s Center on the Administration of Criminal Law. The lab plans to use integrated data to identify opportunities to address underlying drivers of crime and hospitalization, and to the extent possible, keep people out of jails and emergency rooms. Ultimately, the lab seeks to use this data to build a model that jurisdictions across the United States can use to continue this work.

for the Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU School of Law
The Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU School of Law uses economics and law to support smart policies for the environment, public health, and consumers. The institute contributes original research in the fields of economics, administrative law, and public policy, and advocates for reform. In the coming year, the institute is focused on securing effective new federal energy and environmental regulations from key agencies; improving energy market rules at federal, regional, and state levels; and providing research and legal defense on the proper use of the social cost of greenhouse gases. This grant provides flexible support for the institute. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
for support of the Equity and Democracy Initiative
The Equity and Democracy Initiative at NYU is an ambitious, multifaceted initiative to catalyze understanding, innovation, high-impact work, and social change. The initiative combines scholarship, field-building, experiential education, academic convenings, internships, and fellowships to examine how inequality functions, is exacerbated, and can most effectively be disrupted — in our economy and in our democracy. The initiative is sponsored by the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at NYU School of Law and NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
