Overview
Responsible Trails America, a project of the New Venture Fund, is dedicated to reducing the environmental degradation of public lands caused by irresponsible off-road vehicle riding. The organization works throughout the West and at the federal level to educate lawmakers, recruit diverse allies, and promote projects to mitigate damage by off-road vehicles. This grant would fund work to secure consistent fines for riders who break the law and to build support for visible identification tags for each vehicle to make it easier for law enforcement officers to identify violators.

The Groundwork Collaborative, a fiscally sponsored project of New Venture Fund, is a think tank and advocacy project that starts new conversations on the economy by crafting stories about how the economy works that are accessible, intuitive, and compelling and are told through diverse spokespeople who are credible, plainspoken, and fearless. This grant supports Groundwork Collaborative’s work to grow support for the IRS to modernize its operations, build a direct tax filing option, and demonstrate that a well-funded government can play a critical role in strengthening our democracy.
