Overview
This grant will support Upstream, a project of the New Venture Fund, which trains health centers to provide all methods of birth control, including IUDs and implants. Building on the work of the Contraceptive Choice Project at Washington University and the Bixby Center at the University of California, San Francisco, Upstream delivers a comprehensive training, technical assistance, and quality improvement model to health centers to help them address system-, clinic-, and provider-level barriers to offering patients same-day access to the most effective methods of contraception.
