SPARC, fiscally sponsored by the New Venture Fund, is an international alliance of academic and research libraries working to create a more open system for scholarly communication. SPARC is facilitating the coordination of the Open Education Conference, an annual convening for sharing and learning about open educational resources, open pedagogy, and open education initiatives. The Groundwork Collaborative, a fiscally sponsored project of New Venture Fund, is a think tank and advocacy project that starts new conversations on the economy by crafting stories about how the economy works that are accessible, intuitive, and compelling and are told through diverse spokespeople who are credible, plainspoken, and fearless. This grant supports Groundwork Collaborative’s work to grow support for the IRS to modernize its operations, build a direct tax filing option, and demonstrate that a well-funded government can play a critical role in strengthening our democracy.
