Overview
Groundwork Collaborative, a project of New Venture Fund, is a policy and advocacy organization that works with economic policy experts, progressive movement leaders, and activists to develop and advance a progressive economic worldview. This grant will support the creation of a macroeconomic model. Unlike current models, this will more accurately predict the impact of tax and other fiscal policies on the economy based on the most up-to-date, empirical research.

Americans for Tax Fairness, a fiscally sponsored project of New Venture Fund, is a big tent of over 400 national and state endorsing organizations working for more than a decade to create a tax system where the rich and corporations pay their fair share of taxes to raise enough revenue to address our nation’s needs. This grant will support The League, a fiscally sponsored project of New Venture Fund, which uses narrative and culture change campaigns to create a cultural environment supportive of reproductive rights and justice. The League is one of few organizations doing narrative and culture change work at scale with a gender justice lens and that has the infrastructure to do this work across a variety of sectors. This grant supports Groundwork Collaborative’s work to grow support for the IRS to modernize its operations, build a direct tax filing option, and demonstrate that a well-funded government can play a critical role in strengthening our democracy.
