Overview
New Venture Fund would regrant funds to Canadian NGOs for efforts to oppose construction of the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline. Gateway proposes to carry tar sands oil from Alberta across private, provincial, and First Nations land to the pristine inlet port of Kitimat, BC, to create access to Asian and Western U.S. markets. Preventing development of the pipeline would protect valuable ecosystems and water resources.
