Overview
Musical Traditions, also known as the Paul Dresher Ensemble, develops and presents the work of contemporary music composer Paul Dresher and his collaborators. The ensemble typically offers about 50 performances to audiences of 9,000 people each year. In addition, Musical Traditions provides short-term and long-term rentals in its warehouse space for the development of work, rehearsals, performances, and to digital recording artists and arts organizations. Other programs include artist residencies, fiscal sponsorship, and comprehensive project development support for artist-led projects. This grant to Musical Traditions supports the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.
