This grant supports the collective action of First Light, a collaboration between 65 non-Native organizations and Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Maliseet, and Mi’kmaq Indigenous communities in Maine, and supports public dissemination of lessons learned with the broader conservation field. First Light is a fiscally sponsored project of New Learning Journey, a nonprofit organization with a mission to strengthen conservation through transformational learning experiences with other cultures, histories, and ways of being.
