Overview
New America is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy institute dedicated to the renewal of American politics, prosperity, and purpose in the digital age. New America’s Education Policy program crafts policy recommendations around OER and elevates dialogue on the need to change policies to support OER and to determine how OER can be used to address financial and resource constraints in PreK-12 and higher education. This supplement will support developing a network of PreK-12 educators focused on OER and sharing stories that illustrate district implementation of OER.

New America is a nonpartisan think tank dedicated to renewing, reimagining, and realizing the promise of America in an era of rapid technological and social change. New America’s Education Policy program builds on existing efforts to elevate the importance of equity and inclusion and the role of high-quality open educational resources and practices in ensuring academic excellence and well-being for all students. This will be accomplished through research and policy analysis, case making, community building, and the development of open tools and prototypes that can be piloted in districts and communities. With this grant, New America will strengthen their organizational effectiveness by developing more inclusive leaders and supporting all staff in their individual equity learning journeys.
