Overview
We Testify is an organization dedicated to building the leadership of and investing in people who've had abortions, increasing the spectrum of abortion storytellers in the public sphere, shifting the way the media understands the context and complexity of accessing care, and elevating their voices and expertise. Concentrating particularly on those of color, from rural communities, those who are queer identified, those with varying abilities and citizenship status, We Testify creates and launches campaigns aimed at storyteller visibility, normalization of abortion, accountability, and education decreasing abortion stigma, promoting access to abortion, and helping the public understand what abortion access looks like in the U.S. including who has abortions. for the Abortion Access Front project
Abortion Access Front (AAF), a project of NEO Philanthropy, uses real-time media to destigmatize abortion. AAF breaks daily reproductive rights news and analysis; engages audiences through videos, live broadcasts, and social media; and is a trusted source for rapid response information. It also provides on-the-ground aid, morale boosting, and community building to abortion providers. (Strategy: U.S. Reproductive Equity)
for support of Healthy & Free Tennessee
Healthy & Free Tennessee’s work is to grow a movement for reproductive justice across race, class, and gender by bringing new people into the movement, developing skills and capacities, and building connections across organizations and sectors. (Strategy: U.S. Reproductive Equity).
for support of Peace and Security Funders Group
The Peace and Security Funders Group, a fiscally sponsored project of NEO Philanthropy, supports funders to more effectively communicate, collaborate, and learn from one another. This, in turn, helps to build a stronger and more effective philanthropy field as part of the broader social justice and peace ecosystem.
