Grants to this Grantee
for support of the We Testify project
We Testify is an organization dedicated to building the leadership of and investing in people who've had abortions, increasing the spectrum of abortion storytellers in the public sphere, shifting the way the media understands the context and complexity of accessing care, and elevating their voices and expertise. Concentrating particularly on those of color, from rural communities, those who are queer identified, those with varying abilities and citizenship status, We Testify creates and launches campaigns aimed at storyteller visibility, normalization of abortion, accountability, and education decreasing abortion stigma, promoting access to abortion, and helping the public understand what abortion access looks like in the U.S. including who has abortions. (Strategy: U.S. Reproductive Equity)
for the Abortion Access Front project
Abortion Access Front (AAF) uses humor and real-time media to destigmatize abortion and expose antichoice forces working to dismantle access to reproductive rights in the United States. AAF breaks daily reproductive rights news and analysis; engages audiences through funny videos, live broadcasts, and social media; and is a trusted source for rapid response information. It also provides on-the-ground aid, morale boosting, and community building to abortion providers servicing low-income and people of color in states that are politically hostile to abortion.
