National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy

For Developing Evaluation Systems And Capacities

Overview
The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy promotes philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and holds itself accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness. It self-identifies as the country’s independent watchdog and critical friend of foundations. Over time, institutional grantmakers, federal and state governments, and individuals have taken some of the committee’s recommendations and turned them into policy, such as the promotion of comprehensive financial reporting (annual reports) for foundations, which is now considered good practice in the sector. This grant will support measurement and evaluation capacity.
